My name is Heidi, and I was born and raised in Colorado. I am currently residing in Arvada with my spouse and three daughters. My experience in teaching yoga spans over 12 years, and I have completed more than 300 hours of yoga teacher training. I am knowledgeable in teaching various yoga classes such as Vinyasa, Power, and Gentle Yoga. Additionally, I am certified in Mat Pilates and have been teaching it consistently for six years. My classes focus on proper form and technique, and I strive to keep them engaging and enjoyable for all levels.
What inspired you to become a yoga instructor?
I love how yoga makes me feel and I wanted to share that with people. I wanted to help people feel better physically and mentally
What training have you pursued?
300 hour yoga certification in 2008, Mat Pilates in 2014, Barre certification in 2020, Personal training in 2020 and currently pursuing a comprehensive Pilates certification.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a yoga instructor?
I love seeing people leave class smiling or as if they could float out of the room.
What is one piece of advice you give your students?
Yoga is for every body, and so beneficial to take a moment to slow down and connect with the breath
What is unique about your classes and style of teaching?
I have been teaching for over 13 years and my style has changed over the years to be more like a moving meditation. I also pull from all my different certifications.
What do you consider unique about the Personal Pilates Plus studio?
What makes Personal Pilates Plus different from other studios is the community feel and the wide variety of classes offered.
Outside of yoga, what is something else you are passionate about?
Besides teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, my chickens, traveling, and hot springs.
